Every flight looks great at this point. There are plenty of seats to go around for the most part, except for the 1145AM flight, but even on that your friend would probably get on.

The hope is to get him on the 1 AM flight (myself, and basically our entire company umbrella, are confirmed on that flight, except him because his dad works for CO). How's that specifically looking?

I'm really sorry, I misread your post. I checked loads from IAH-LAS for tomorrow. Again I apologize. The loads tomorrow are actually really bad from LAS-IAH. Almost all flights are overbooked. Things always change though. I hope your friend get on. PS- Enjoy the ride on the 737-900ER!

FLY-Bad for him, but perhaps good for me...I'm thinking I may try to pull a VDB out of my hat...if nothing else, it'll mean I'll have a real airplane on my IAH-PBI connection as opposed to the toyjet I'm currently scheduled to fly on the route.

I have found checking the seat map a day or two before the flight gives you a great idea of loads. I non-rev CO sometimes twive a month SFO-IAH and its worked for me every time. The only thing it doesn't give you is the listed non-rev numbers.

Getting out of LAS on a Sunday is hard as heck. Trying to get into LAS on a Friday and going home on a Sunday can be next to impossible on space a. But, the fact of a redeye improves the chances though. I always flew out of and into Vegas on weekdays to avoid getting bumped. Good luck!!!

Well, the good news is, my friend got out on that 1 AM flight...the bad news, of course, is that I didn't get VDBed...BTW, I find it a great touch that, even when they don't need the volunteer, Continental gives the volunteering customer a free drink/headset certificate (although the headset wouldn't have helped, as the aircraft was a 12-day-old 737-900ER, and as such didn't have its IFE installed yet.
