Delta Itinerary: Help Required

Hi All,

I'm travelling from SNN-MCO on Friday and returning on April 19th. I had booked seats for all flights and on the return from JFK-SNN, I had reserved the domestic first seats as the entire aircraft was being sold as all economy. Now, they have changed the aircraft to one of the reconfigured ones with the Biz Elite seats and so our seat assignments have gone out of the window and the five of us are split up all around the aircraft. I just called DL's European call centre and was told that because we are departing on Friday, they can't change any seat assignments on the reservation. This would appear to be true because the DL website wouldn't allow me to reassign our seats either.

Is there anyone out there who can help with this? If you can, let me know and I'll PM you with the reservation details.

Yeah I was thinking of waiting until the European call centre closed so that my call was transferred to the US. I just wondered if anyone here could help. If no-one can, I'll call them later this evening. Thanks for the advice!

The available seats may be blocked off for gate control and out of the hands of any reservation agents. If you want to PM me your confirmation #, I'll look at it when I get to work in 6 hours and see what can be done.

Just wait until you get to the airport. The gate agent should be able to fix the problem and move you all together. Just because you have a seat assignment. Does not mean you will get that actual seat. All your guaranted is a seat on that flight. If you traveling as a family with kids. The gate agent will change things around so the family can sit together. I see that happing all the time when I fly...

Hi DTWAGENT. We're not actually a family with small children but thanks for the advice anyway. What's annoying me is that there are seats available for assignment but the computer won't let me assign them because our departure is only five days away. Thanks! Gareth
