I've been paying attention to Air One a lot lately and I couldn't help but notice that while they advetise as being a partner of LH and codeshare with several *A members, they have not joined, nor are about to. In fact, they have not even been invited and as far as I can see haven't shown any interest in joining. I would think they would be an obvious choice to join *A. Is there any reason why they haven't? Is there part of their business model that doesn't work?

I wondered, too. But then, all their flights are also marketed under LH flight #, so in some way they are in Star in many ways.
As a traveler, just book their flight under the LH number, and you've got a Star flight. As a LH frequent traveler, your Air One flight will be counted as if it was a LH/LX/OS flight, i.e. full credit towards status miles as well.
Having said that, I still don't understand why they aren't (at least a regional) member.
