Excuse me if this has been discussed,

but today I was emailed pics of the crash and skid off the runway at KUL of an Air Asia B733 last week on March 20th ...
seemed to happen during heavy rain...

but I know for a fact that this issue did not make news in australia, do have I seen it in airliners.net or any other airline web postings... so whats going on with that ?? If it has been discussed here again, I apologise, but if not, why the media hush hush on this incident ?

it seemed to be full scale, slides were deployed and the full works !

Any information at all, please post !

Cheers
Industrybuff !

Hmmm, no evidence of it at KUL yesterday (24 March...). Flew AK KUL-PEN. Wonderful airline, feels like WN with an Asian touch  Wink

Flew AK into KUL on March 21, no evidence of any crash - can you post the pic please?

If it's these pics in the link below, the piece suggests it was in 2004, though plenty of the comments claim it is all a hoax.

Ah yes, the incident back in 2004 did happen. It was at Kota Kinabalu where 9M-AAP ran off the runway. This classic is now flying for sister company Thai AirAsia as HS-AAP.

thankyou all for posting the truth, I was concerned also about the authenticity of the pictures, but glad it was from 2004 and not recent...

cheers
