This is just outrageous.
A Boeing plane (must be 737?) readying for departure from CDG Paris to St Petersburgh, Russia caught fire from a bag in luggage compartment. Reportedly, a passenger (whatta prick!) was transporting a bunch of signal flares in it, in violation of rules on flamable items in luggage.
Pax had to be moved to another pane and took off 3 hrs behind schedule.
Who should we fry for this: the passenger or CDG airport check-in security?? Both on one stick, maybe...

Jeez-us! People can be so ignorant sometimes!
But I wonder how the flares must've slipped through past security checks on baggage at CDG, of which I'm sure they do, since many major EU airprots are quite strict about putting potentially dagerous things on board passenger a/c for very good reason.
