It's very interesting to watch about UAL inflgiht service back in 50's. It has more detailed about inflight service and airport.
1) How and why did UAL aircraft has to turn around? I was worried that the tail and fin may hit the pax bridge. LOL!
2) ancient manuel flight safety demo
3) Inflight meals looks very yummy...too bad we dont have a decent inflight meals in our present.
4) UAL crews asked two children to give the candies to the pax before landing...smiliar to ANZ way.

That UA Flight 801 Flight film was made in 1960. They showed a Boeing 720-022 at the beginning. United began DC-8 Jet Mainliner Service on September 18, 1959. The 720's didn't come on line until June of 1960. But the United shield is the pre Capital Merger one.

The girls get a "junior stewardess" pin and the boys get a "junior pilot" pin - I love it!
Too bad we don't have lounges on most planes nowadays...

An interesting bit is that the shot of lower Manhattan shows a dockyard where Battery Park City now is.

Hilarious videos.
We learn:
Jet planes are big!
Jet planes have no propellers!
Girls get the junior stewardess pin and have to work on the plane, Boys the junior pilot pin (why do they need to work?)
