I was driving by LAX on Sepulveda Blvd. towards the 105, and I noticed quite a few flashing police lights, and several police vans approaching the airport. Anyone know what happened at the airport? This was at approximately 10:30 PM. Thanks for the help.

Oh...just a quiet night at LAX.

From http://www.iht.com/articles/ap/2008/03/30/america/LAX-Bomb-Scare.php:

Quote:
LOS ANGELES: Authorities say a portion of Los Angeles International Airport has been evacuated after a message was found saying there was a bomb in the ladies room.

Airport police spokesman Sgt. Jim Holcomb says the area has been checked for explosives and cleared Sunday morning.

Police say a passenger apparently went into the men's room at Terminal 2 and saw the message on a wall that said there was a bomb in the ladies room.

Could be part of the explosion that happened about 3 blocks from LAX. Firefighter was killed in the blast. Here's the link

I was there at 10:20pm on the 29th and saw nothing unusual at LAX. I arrived T4, sat on the tarmac for a while due to AA's restricted gate space right now, then waited for the parking shuttle, then rode over to 'The Parking Spot', and never saw flashing lights or heard any sirens.

Maybe they were just heading North on Sepulveda? Westchester isn't the best area in the world.
