Hello Everyone,
Just wondering what all airliners are handeled by Air Canada around the world:

YYZ: Austian Airlines (OS) with AC Reservation System

LHR: Eva Airways (BR), Thai Airways (TG)?

Any other one's that you might be aware of that are handled by AC which also includes using their reservation system?

YUL: Royal Jordanian.

US Airways is handled by NWA (if I can remember correctly) and AC used to do UA, but they went to Swissport last fall. Austrian until they stopped coming to YUL.

I never realized what a difficult question it would be to answer.

Fun, huh?  Smile

I can't speak for US outside of YYZ, but I know for sure that we don't handle them here (I'm not sure if that will change with their move to T1, or if they'll still be handled by the same company that does their handling at T3). Our contract with UA wasn't renewed last fall (YHZ is the only station, iirc, where we still do ground ops for them) since they wanted about to pay about half or less than what they had previously. They're now handled by Servisair. LO also gets the Servisair treatment here.

Groundside and further up the jet bridge, I'm not too sure about who handles what for whom.

Makes you wonder why someone would post such a factually incorrect statement. I take all A.net postings with a huge dose of skepticism.

No they dont, in YYZ where UA is the biggest Star Alliance presecence, they do their own check in and swissport handles them on the ramp..

US airways I believe also has their own check in but I am not sure abt their ramp, but its definitely not AC they just switched 6 days ago to T1 they were in T3 and AC was not handling anyone in T3 for the last few yrs..

AC handles AZ ramp, 9W check in using 9W system, 9W ramp, OS everything except ticketing, LH ramp and part check in, they will handle Icelandair now...

US in YYZ has their own employees above and below the wing. The staff seem to really enjoy their new location in T1.

In LHR AC currently handles, Air Mauritius, EVA Air, Royal Jordanian, and MEA.
All contracts use their respective own systems now, and not the AC system.

What do you mean Servisair treatment??????? Here in Vancouver we do a great job for the airlines we handle, even when short staffed, unlike what i see and hear about Air Canada Ground services. CX is not to happy with the service, i have had Jazz pilots ask me or my co workers to marshal them in, of course we said ewe couldn;t, as they were waiting for their AC crew, so Servisair may have some problems at that base but ACGHS isn;t the best either. And btw not saying Servisair is the best either, and not saying its the AC employees fault for the problems but don;t go saying servisair treatment as if we are a second rate company, ie undercutting to get contracts well guess what AC is doing that too how do you think they got CX in vancouver?

Swissport will no longer handle NW in YVR. NW will handled NW.

For any canadians interested, there are a lot of open positions in Canada with NW, and they have a different contract then those down here in the 48. Anyway here is a link for YVR.
