Hi, there is so much technology in aircrafts today.
Many airlines have PTV's in them.
Do you know the airlines with out PTV's?
Like maybe Iceland Air comes to mind.
Any one think of any others?

All of UA's internationally-configured 767s and 777s have them in all classes. US' A330s have them as well.

Major enough for those of us in Ireland, while small on the world stage, Aer Lingus 330s mostly do not have PTVs.

AY doesnt have them on the MD-11, only in J class. The a340s AY has, they all have PTVS. The airbus a320s have overhead screens.
I Think thai airways also has only a few aircraft equipped with ptvs.

Airlines been on: AY, LX, SR, OS, SK, KF, EZY, FR, BA, LH, AF, TG, DC, FC, TK, KL, BT, CX, QR

B747-400 - c-class = ptv/avod / m-class = no ptv
MD11 - c-class = ptv/avod / m-class = no ptv (ptv/avod will be installed)
A330-200 = ptv/avod in both classes
B777 = ptv/avod in both classes

Qantas only has them on the 747's and A333 and International A332.

767's don't have them yet they fly them on major international routes, bit of an embarrassment when the competition generally has them.

737's-though the new ones next year should have them.

717's-don't have any entertainment at all.

Obviously the props don't have them or need them.

I think Icelandair do now have them! Only just been installed I read someplace! Erm... at this place!!  wink

http://www.airliners.net/aviation-fo...eneral_aviation/read.main/3229189/

I've flown on Icelandair quite a few times now but haven't recently since they have installed the PTV and winglets on their 757s! I must go back to Iceland soon!!  hyper

Can I include Monarch Airlines? I flew on them recently from Luton to Arrecife on Airbus A321-200! Being without those moving maps in flights longer than 1 hour really annoy as I like to know where I am!

Midwest didn't used to, but they also now have digi-player rentals on some flights.

Midwest Airlines- 1984-2010
25 DocLightning : I have discovered that I'm not a huge fan of PTV's. I use them to show me the route map. I have pretty autistically narrow tastes in movies, so unless
26 Burnsie28 : Especially since AA's MD-80's dont have them or anything either and they fly just as long of routes with those birds as NW does with any of its domes
27 AlitaliaMD11 : Aerolineas Argentinas lacks PTV's on all of their international fleet.
28 Alitalia744 : Not necessarily true...
29 RIXrat : What about LOT, since I'm flying them to ORD in June or July?
30 AlitaliaMD11 : LOT does not have any PTV's on their 767 fleet. Another airline to add is Egyptair who does not have PTV's on their 777 or A330 fleet.
31 PHLBOS : For NW, forgot about the DC-9s.
32 COEI2007 : 33% of their L/H fleet have PTV's By next March 80% will have PTV's
33 AirframeAS : But that doesn't really count and AS does not have enough for every pax as I understand it. It would be nice of AS had DirecTV on all of their aircra
34 Fah345 : Nor the Y class of AB6, 333, 772, 773 (except HS-TKA), 734.
35 Ojas : I can think of Gulf Air, Oman Air, Thai Airways Gulf Air: Barring the A330's none of the a/cs have PTV's in Y class Oman Air: None of their aircrafts
36 EXAAUADL : Does NW show movies or TV shows on Hawaii flights with the 753?
37 Airbus767 : Not sure about this, but I believe TAM's MD-11s do not have PTVs, but their A330s do.
38 N801NW : One movie and several short segment features each way.
39 Jmc1975 : Last month, my LH 346 did NOT have PTVs.
40 ZKEOJ : That's great news - I'll be on them MUC-SFO on May 7.... Happy micha
41 WDBRR : I don't think Ryan Air has any PTV's. I think the only entertainment is the shadow hand puppets.
42 Djb77 : Air China on their A340s (inherited from China Southwest): I flew B-2389 Frankfurt > Shanghai Pudong on CA936 on April 4 and boy, was that a long flig
43 WDBRR : What about Iran Air? do they have PTV's?? If they did, it would be limited programming based on Islamic Laws.
44 FRAspotter : Will Y class on LH 744s ever get them or will LH just retire them before they are "forced" to upgrade them?
45 MilesDependent : Lets keep discussion to long haul. No point naming every short haul airline without PTVs as most do not have them...
46 Tommy767 : AA doesn't have PTV's on their 763s. Most definately an embarassment.
47 FRAspotter : I apologize for getting off topic for just a sec, but in my last post (reply #44) I was asking about the LH 744s and them getting PTVs. I was just che
48 WILCO737 : AFAIK: the 744 wont get the PTV in Y class... Why? I don't know! I've been told: all 333s and 346s are done now! I haven't checked that myself, but t
49 Gkirk :
50 777klm : Some of them already have Malev and Hawaiian?
51 Aruba : I just booked a flight last night for Jet Blue from JFK - SJU and I know I'm going to get a PTV! I booked my self for the extra leg room asile. In row
52 MEA-707 : OK, the general trends here: * Narrow body and short haul types usually don't have PTVs. Exceptions are JetBlue, Frontier, Virgin America A-320 family
