Tonight i went spotting at Colorado SPrings Municipal. I saw:
1 AA 752
3 UA 722s
1 DL MD-88
2 UAEX DORNIERS
2 RENO AIR MD-82S
1 AMERICA WEST 733
1 FEDEX 722
I stand about 300 yards in front if rnwy 17L lined up with the runway. When every airliner passes over me i can feel the exhaust and the wake turbulence from the plane, it is so cool.

Man that is cool! I love the 'smaller' airports just for that reason! Here in SMF (Sacramento, CA) it's exactly the same!
Doesn't Access Air fly into COS? If so, when does their flight/s arr/dep?

I also went plane spotting but the high point of my day must have been the emergency landing of a TWA/Express flight 7461 (J-41) in Birmingham. It seems that the flight coming from st louis orginally was making its trip back when after taking off and just before cruise they had some serious mechanical failure and had to return to the airport. I thought it was strange that another TWE flight was coming in just after the one had left, also i knew something was wrong when the flgiht landed and it had 5 emergency fire trucks in tow behind it. After coming to the gate and deboarding regularly, and checked over the plane was taken out of service. The passengers were pretty shaken as i would be too, i fly this route on TWE about 10 or 15 times a year.
