Its a small single engine piston.

Sorry about my original description of what the crash may or may not be.

To actively root against anybody is just low, and I hope karma comes back at you with a vengeance

You used the less-acceptable code. That's why it showed up weird in the title. Did you mean LOU ?

I fixed it.

I'm a little worried only because the person who told me 49 people onboard has absolutely no idea about anything aviation and that is quite close to the description of an regional jet. Still I'm yet to find anything new.

I'll scratch that 49 out someone just sent me a pictture of the wreck from local news. Looks to be a Cessna 180.

Sorry about any confusion guys I just was posting what I was told I'll go back and edit my posts hinting towards anything a regional jet.

My thoughts and prayers however go out to the pilot and passenger(s) of this plane.

Quoting N6238P (Thread starter):
A friend of mine told me 49 dead.

The picture online looks like a pretty small plane, and the article made it seem as if there were only two people on board.

Why grab a Heine when you can grab a Busch?

Yes, a Cessna 210 crashed on approach to LOU (Bowman Field) earlier this afternoon in a residential neighborhood. The pilot was alone and was sent to the hospital with severe burns, at least it looks like he's OK.
