YX/MKE Now If FL Were Successful?

With fuel prices as high as they are and airlines cutting capacity, what would the status of MKE be IF FL would have been successful with their hostile takeover?
Personally, I think FL is breathing a sigh of relief that it didn't go through.

I don't think FL would have been able to finance the deal if they would have won the bidding war against TPG/NWA. Credit was drying up fast starting in the 4th Quarter of 2007.

Hub under FL, probably many new routes, and more would be continually added. FL would have cash problems possibly like Mr.Nut stated  Smile .

I wouldn't of been surprised if some of the legacy carriers had upgraded some of their RJ flights to mainline service on the routes they shared with YX such as MKE-EWR(CO), MKE-DFW(AA), MKE-DEN(UA), MKE-PHL(US), etc...

Will you watch the Cleveland Browns and the Detroit Lions on Sunday? Only if coach Eric Mangini resigned after a loss.

I, for one, am glad FL did not get YX. I'd rather see a blue and white 717 any-day over a teal and white one. As for the financing, FL would have probably used MKE as a "scapegoat" hub. When things are down, cut it back, when things are good, beef it up.

Will any more mainline ever be brought in? I know that one on that list, US, has mainline PHX service.
