UAL Service SEA-HNL?

Hello,

United used to fly from Seattle to Honolulu. The first 2 times we went it was a 747 (1981 and 1983). Then when we went again in 1985 and 1986 it was a DC-10. I always remembered the flights were always full and overbooked. So I assumed it was profitable but sometime between 1986 and when we went again in 1991 United had discontinued the flight. Anyone know when United discontinued the route and why?

Remember, HNL is VERY low yeild. A full flight does not equate to profits.
