Does anybody know how many Ju 52s and Ford Trimotors are still flying today.

Ju 52
1 Lufthansa D-AQUI
3 (or 4 ??) in Switzerland with Ju Air
at least one or two flying in old WW2 colors

Ford Tri-Motor
I know of at least 2 still flying in the US, are there any others around the world ?

How many of each have survived in Museums etc ??

I know there is a Tri-Motor at Fantasy of Flight in Polk City, FL. I'm not sure if its airworthy or not.

There is another one in South Africa in good conditions. Afaik it didn't fly for a while but could be brought back into air with some efforts.

There is a Ford Tri-Motor at the San Diego Museum of flight. I have no idea if it is/or can be made airworthy.

I also remember seeing recently a Ford tri-motor here on Airliners.net in Eastern Air Transport (IIRC) colors.

I sure would love to fly on one if I had the chance!

Here's your chance! I highly recommend it. I did it a few years back, want to take my son now too.

If you are referring to the one that belongs to the Commemorative Air Force in the US, it is actually a CASA 352.

SAA's JU-52 hasn't flown for several years but it is being well looked after.
