Q&A on British Airways New Product Innovations
----------------------------------------------------

Club World (Business Class)
------------

What's so special about this new seat?

Through unique and innovative use of space and design we will be able to deliver to our customers what they tell us is important - the flexibility to choose how they spend their time; genuinely sleeping, working or relaxing. Club World will be the business class to deliver a fully flat bed, as well as being a comfortable seat where you can work, relax or dine.

Will I be able to get out of my seat easily if I sit in the window seat?

Absolutely, if the aisle seat is in upright position there is plenty of space to walk through. If the seat has been deployed into bed mode, you can quite easily step over the footstool. Customer research has shown that this is no more difficult than today, and arguably much better.

When is this product going to be available on all flights?

Currently the New Club World is available on all routes from London Heathrow to:

New York (JFK)
San Francisco (SFO)
Hong Kong (shuttle services to Taipei & Manila - TPE & MNL)
Chicago (ORD)

The new seat is also available on the majority of services to the following routes:

Japan, Narita (NRT)
Washington (IAD)

Why do some of the seats face rearward?

This unique layout enables us to provide a revolutionary new 'lounge in the sky' cabin environment, offering over a foot more leg room comfort, whilst maximising space efficiency.

What differences will I feel flying backwards?

If you have never flown backwards before it may feel novel at first, although aviation experts have advised that there are no physiological effects of flying backwards as oppose to forwards.

Passengers travelling on private jets already do this. Please note all our crew sit backwards now. The seats have a unique design for take-off and landing position to make the journey more comfortable.

Rearward facing seats are also common in trains and coaches.

World Traveller Plus
----------------------

What routes will see this new cabin first?

Currently World Taveller Plus is available on all routes from London Heathrow to:

New York (JFK)
San Francisco (SFO)
Hong Kong (shuttle services to Taipei & Manila - TPE & MNL)
Chicago (ORD)

The new seat is also available on the majority of services to the following routes:

Japan, Narita (NRT)
Washington (IAD)
