Qantas At Bos?

On massport.com it says that Qantas serves terminal B at BOS, but there are no pics of Qantas at BOS, and I have not seen any Qantas planes at BOS. Will they ever fly into BOS? That would be great!

having QANTAS flying to your airport shows that the airport has a good standing, i mean they don't just fly any where, if they did, they would fly to more places in the uk than Heathrow!

Actually its General Edward Lawrence Logan International Airport. But us Bostonians usually refer to it as "Logan". And when on a flight to or from Boston the Flight Crew usually refers to it as just "Boston Logan International"

As V jet already mentioned, QANTAS code-shares with American on their flights between Los Angeles and Boston. The only North American destinations served by QANTAS are as follows: Honolulu, Vancouver, Los Angeles, Toronto, and New York-JFK.

QF sometimes fly to MAN go_air_canada and not just Heathrow and some info for you Qantas reserve airport in the UK is EMA.

Sorry to advise but QF pulled out of Toronto last year and now only serve via an AA codeshare daily LAX/YYZ/LAX

Thanks Jase. I'm surprised by this, especially after QF losing their CP feed. But then again, YYZ wasn't CPs main hub anyways. Was it not economical to fly a plane that far? Thanks.

True that qantas do fly into MAN sometimes but these days i think it is mostly doing charter flights for someone - can't remember who. The QF 744's have about a day wait in LHR and sometimes are used for charters for German??? tour operator - you will usually see two or three sitting around at LHR during the day.

I think they used to fly 767's to YYZ via HNL. They still fly to HNL however. They also increased the frequency of the Vancouver flights.

QANTAS codeshares with American on BOS-LAX. The reason QF is in Terminal B is because AA is there. QANTAS uses the American checkin desks, there is a sign by each queue entrance saying Enter here for AA and Qantas flights.

Hey man, the flights are run by American, I just came back from Oz out of Boston. I asked the ticket agent and she said that it is the codeshare.

It is a probably a codeshare. I know that at MIA, Quantas codeshares with American on flights to LAX. That's how it is in BOS too.

Re: Qantas 'only' flying to Heathrow in the UK - don't forget that from Heathrow Qantas operates codeshare flights with BA to most major UK airports. That's why you can see QF flights to Edinburgh etc.

Did Qantas *ever* serve BOS itself directly? I remember in the 1960s during the B707 era, they had an almost saturation radio advertizing campaign in Boston that went on for weeks. I can still remember some of the words to the jingles. "Fllllyyyy QANTAS. Qantas treats you better all around....to Nairobi and the Nile, or a South Pacific Isle...Qantas treats you better all around". I know at the time they were serving JFK directly, but from the amount of money they spent on ads in Boston, I wonder if they served there too.
