75 Minutes Sufficient To Connect In SCL?

I am wondering if 1 hour and 15 minutes is sufficient time to connect at SCL international-to-international. I am flying GRU-SCL-MEX on Monday, May 12 and will have only 75 minutes to connect.

Could anyone maybe briefly describe the process for connecting at SCL?

Thanks a lot.

Next flights: MEX-GRU (AM 77E), GRU-GIG (JJ A320), SDU-CGH (G3 73H), GRU-MEX (JJ A332).

havent been to SCL

But ive managed a 20 min change at FRA airport from the other end to the other. So you will make it for sure  Smile

They won't leave without you if youve checked in. Also they'd have to remove your lugage form the plane. But 1 hour 15 min is fine you might even get 20min to spare easily.

Provided you're checked through to MEX, it won't be a problem. There's a quick security check, but SCL isn't a huge transfer airport (and GRU isn't a flight that's likely to have a lot of transfers), so it shouldn't take too long, and even if it does, it won't be close to 75 minutes.

Thanks guys. My ticket is an AM/LA ticket: MEX-GRU on AM and the return leg is GRU-SCL-MEX on LA, so yes I will be checked in all the way through MEX. My only concern now is that LA's GRU-SCL flight might be delayed. Hope not.

By the way, as an international-to-international transfer passenger, do I have to pay the 15 or 17 USD reciprocity-tax that Chile charges?

I dotn know about taxing, but if your LA flight is delayed, id think the AM will be informed of passengers onboard coming to the fligth to GRU.
Ive been sitting inside a plane many times when they announce they have to wait for some passengers form another plane. Pretty common.

That transfer made me remind of this one really bad expereince flying JFK-CDG-GVA. Was coming inbound to CDG and hwen i got out of the plane we had around 45 minutes to get to the GVA flight. The deboarding went fine but for some reason security stopped us in the security check and would not let us through! We told them we'd just ben through the JFK security check which is much tighter then in Europe, and they still had a problem with us. Worst thing was when we were stcuk at security and they started to play me and my firends voice over the loudspeaker. We were instant headturners in the A319 when we got aboard as last passengers.

No. It's only for folks entering Chile.
