AUSTIN, TX - Passengers heading to the Boston area will have a fast, easy way to get there: American Airlines has announced new nonstop service to Boston (BOS) effective May 1, via MD 80 aircraft. This new passenger services marks the first announced scheduled new nonstop destination in 2001 from Austin-Bergstrom (AUS). Nonstop service means a passenger boards in AUS and arrives in the city of destination, without a change of planes or stop at hub. The new Austin-Boston service will depart AUS at 5:10 p.m. arriving in Boston at 9:50 p.m. The Boston return flight leaves at 5:30 p.m. and arrives in Austin at 8:58 p.m.
In addition to the Boston service, American Airlines has added a third nonstop flight to Los Angeles (LAX) beginning March 2, departing at 4:15 p.m., and a fourth nonstop flight to San Jose (SJC) on May 1 departing at 10 a.m. The new San Jose flight provides timely connecting service to and from Taipei (TPE), Japan.
