Any idea what this bird was doing in VCV? Flew COS-VCV, spent an hour in VCV, now on its way back to MSP.

Probably military charter. As ypu can see below, there has been a lot of flights between COS and VCV over the last few days.

Also, Sun Country has stated recently that they were branching out into more AMC business and with the demise of TZ, there is certainly some more narrowbody capacity need in that business segment.

There are also prisoner flights . VCV has a huge federal penn accross the street from the airport.I know Sierra Pacific does these.

They usually operate as 'Justice'-flights. They are not visible on flight-trackers.

It's good if SCX han pick up some of the AMC traffic. It may enable them to recall some of their furloughed employees.
