Could someone please describe JAL's operations at LAX? Aircraft, routes, frequencies, etc. Any info is appreciated. Thanks!

Ok lets start.
1 flight on a MD-11 from Nagoya to LAX, JAL flight number 27. Economy and Executive class

1 flight on a 747-400 from KIX to LAX, JAL flight number 69. First, economy, and executive class.

1 flight on a 747-400 from Narita to LAX, JAL flight number 65. Economy and Executive class.

From the latest JAL international route book. 2001

There's also JL62/61 (between NRT and LAX i believe). This route is the only LAX route operated by a 744 with PTVs in every seat.

Cool, didn't see that one. I also heard the NRT-ORD flight has PTV's too.

LAX-GRU operates only on Wednesdays, while GRU-LAX operates only on Thursdays. I don't know why they even bother with a flight like that if it is only weekly, and Varig (2x daily) and Korean Air (WeFrSu) both offer competition.

JAL operates 4X per week from JFK-GRU. I wonder why only 1x goes thru LAX?
