Looks like Pacific Air Cargo won the auction for AQ's contract services. As of yet, no winner has been declared for the cargo operations.

Fair use:
Sources tell us that a Hawaii-based company called Pacific Air Cargo was the high bidder to buy Aloha's contract services division. Founded in 2000, Pacific Air Cargo flies 747s, offering air cargo service between Los Angeles and Honolulu, as well as Guam and American Samoa.

Not good news for the cargo division though, especially if the government's view holds. If the operating certificate cannot be transferred to a new bidder, that makes the division far less attractive and less likely that it will be sold and operated as a single unit. Does anyone why the government objects to the certificate being transferred, though ? It's been done many times before.

Quick correction too, Pacific Air Cargo does not fly anything. Connie flies between LAX and HNL and Asia Pacific Airlines (with a 727, not a 747) flies between HNL and PPG. As far as I know, neither operation is dedicated to Pacific Air Cargo.

I've got $h*t to do

Well on the company's site, you can read they are utilizing B747s between Los Angeles and Honolulu, and to Guam, Pago Pago and American Samoa. But this link shows a Kalitta Air 747.

Before today, I've never heard of Pacific Air Cargo.
