Effective 6/1...

AA Eagle will add

1 x Daily MIA-GSO (for two daily ERD flights)

AND

Replace 1 of 5 x Daily MIA-JAX ATRs with an ERD.

AND

Add 2 x Daily MIA-NAS (for 12 x Daily ATRs - high season only).

Nice to see more RJs. Hopefully MIA-JAX will eventually go all RJ.

I thought AE was already running 1x ERJ on JAX-MIA?

looks like they are dumping DAL-AUS/MCI so that could be where some of the flights are coming from.

They were for a short time, but stopped.

I would have perferred that capacity go to a new route like BHM or CAE, but a second daily MIA-GSO is nice. American's MIA-GSO service, starting June 5th, will be the only daily service between Greensboro and the entire state of Florida.

Hopefully only if they add more frequency since AT7's carry 30% more passengers than ERJ's.

Load factors aren't significantly high on the route, so it doesn't really matter. Plus RJs will allow them to more effectively compete with business passengers against WN from FLL.

Not so...

MQ already operates MIA-GSO, they are just adding a 2nd flight.
G4 operates SFB-GSO and PIE-GSO, and starting in June will offer FLL-GSO.

Yes so. With the ending of Delta's service between Orlando and GSO this will be the only daily service between Florida and GSO.

Is JAX the only mainland OW city with jet competition? I know CLT, for instance, is all jet even though the AT7 would be more than capable of operating the flight because of the competition on the route from US.

Just out of curiousity, where are you seeing this? Neither aa.com nor any other schedule I have access to is showing the changes yet.

Schedule changes are usually loaded at midnight on Saturdays going into Sundays - it should all be visible and bookable tomorrow.

Good news for NAS and GSO. Not to be a hometown bandwagoner or anything, but I have heard MIA-MKE has been a "could happen" for a while now, but will that ever happen?

AA doesn't have the aircraft for MIA-MKE. A CR7 could do it, but there aren't any CR7s at MIA.
