When I was looking through the list of previous operators to Frankfurt, the name Air Club International came back to my mind. I remember having seen this very name some years ago (I guess 1996) while looking through travel catalogues searching for flights to Canada. I didn't fly that airline, however I'm interested in getting some information about it. The only ones I remember is that they were a Canadian charter carrier flying 2 B742 and 4 A310-300 at one time. Does anybody know more about them? (i.e. dates of foundation and closing down , complete fleet list, destinations) Furthermore, can someone having flown them share any experiences? Thanks for every reply!

They used to operate during the summer to my local airport Glasgow. Usually A310's, but occasionally 742's. I think they operated to many Uk airports incl Manchester Newcastle and Gatwick. I don't think they lasted very long.
All A310s leased from Airbus Leasing and all ex-PAN AM.
C-GCIT and C-GCIV operated for Air india in 1996 according to JP.
I've seen CLI at Paris CDG and AMS. Out of AMS they operated a Amsterdam-Paramaribo for SLM with their B747-200. Moreover, CLI operated YYZ-AMS-ATH-AMS-YYZ if I'm correct and YYZ-AMS-YYZ.
