Seems that the immigration problems, as well as the huge competition and higher oil prices are making another victim on Brazil-Europe market.

UX will not fly, at least during the next five months, the route Madrid-Rio de Janeiro. As per information given, IB is about to increase their frequencies on MAD-GIG and UX decided to focus on SSA (where they have no competitors), as well as to increase EZE and CCS services. Can anyone confirm this ?

UX were flying nowadays only 2x weekly B763/A332 service to GIG.

Always bad to lost one airline, but seems also that new services that TP begin to CNF and BSB request it's tribute from UX as they lost important markets that helps to feed the flight as well as competition become stronger with more flights from IB, TP and AF.

Recently, immigration issues in Spain (MAD) reduces the demand for connecting pax thru UX hub.

Hope they really come back.

New York + Rio de Janeiro = One of the best combinations !
