Hello, I was wondering if anyone could tell me what happened with LAB airlines in Bolivia? I knew they suspended US flights a while ago, but thought they were still operating on a limited basis. When I tried to look into it, though, their website would not download, and when I tried to search some of their routes within Bolivia and routes such as LBP-LIM on other travel sites, they were nowhere to be seen. Has the airline shut down completely now? Or are they still operating but just not showing on internet booking sites?

Hey, LAB was operating their two or three 727's on a charter basis as the Bolivian government had suspended all their flights due their severe financial crisis. Then one of the charter flights crashed in February 2008. I just read a report today, that they have just received approval to begin scheduled service. They will start domestic service in 15 days using their 727's, then add international service later on. From what I have read in the past about LAB, I seriously recommend considering an alternative. Saludos!
