Does anyone know what will become of the L-1011 that is "The Flying Hospital" operated by Operation Blessing International? I saw this plane in Tucson - it looks like its fully intact but one list that I saw says that it is for sale and may be broken up if not sold in 2007 - there were some corrosion problems noted in a 2005 test flight???

It hasn't flown in almost 7 years and they no longer come out to run the systems or engines. It will be scrapped as soon as the 700 club takes in less money begging than it costs to store. A total scam from day 1.
I am glad I was around to fly before de-regulation.

Did they ever do anything with the L-1011 that Delta donated...? Delta donated ship 728 i.e. the Delta Belle for parts for the flying hospital... Which bring me a totally different question... What happen to ship 728..?

Ship 728 is still sitting at Marana, IIRC...I think she was partially stripped already. Sad end for the last L10 for Delta, they should have donated the thing to a museum who would have taken care of her.
