Was anyone on the inaugural OAK-HNL flight today on HA?

If so, how was the load factor in both cabins?

Many Thanks,
BP1

The new flights will provide an estimated 95,000 air seats annually from Oakland to Honolulu,
helping to fill the void left by the sudden closure of Aloha and ATA airlines last month. Today’s flight
from Oakland carried 213 passengers, while the return flight from Honolulu had 220 passengers.

From Hawaiian Air's press release.

This morning's departure out of OAK was even fuller, with an 86% LF. It's nice to see these good loads right off the bat for a new city.

Keep in mind that OAK lost something like 11 daily flights mainland-HI w/in 1 week. Theres a pretty significant pent up demand. Having said that, I think this is going to be a good route for HA, I'm curious who's going to jump on the OAK-OGG route though.

If anyone is going to do OAK-OGG I would think it would be HA (pending more aircraft). Especially if WN codeshares with them....>WN said they were actively searching for a new Hawai'i partner....HA makes the most sense as they serve PHX, LAX, LAS, SAN, SEA, PDX, SFO, SJC, OAK.....all WN stations (LAS, OAK, PHX, LAX being great for connections).

Its the 'pending more aircraft' thats the problem. Its no secret that HA is actively searching and may have some leads, but their is another carrier that's prominent in OAK that could probably arrange schedules to free up the necessary aircraft sooner, AS. Purely speculation, but I'd be willing to bet a couple beers that they're looking at the financials.
