As far as I know that NWA and KLM swap routes every now and then, am I right?

How do they decide whos fly whos routes ?

Is there any chance NWA would fly DFW - AMS using their own planes ???

Thanks

Super80

They do from time to time, although there are some routes that have been traditionally all NW or all KL.

Who flies a certain route is really determined on an as-needed basis. With the addition of new routes like PDX-AMS, MSP-CDG, and SEA-LHR, NW will be short a few A330's. So this summer, NW will have a single 744 flying DTW-AMS, as well as a KL A332.

It is possible that NW would fly DFW-AMS. If that were the case though, you would see a NW flight (most likely EWR-AMS or BOS-AMS) go back to KL.

Sure. DL and AF have done some switch hitting on the DL hub-CDG flights (moving frequencies from DL to AF and vice versa on JFK/ATL/CVG-CDG).
