I just returned from a trip with the following itinerary: ZRH-CPH-HEL-CPH-ZRH. On both ways my luggage was lost at CPH. On the fligth to HEL I had a connecting time of more than 2.5h and on the way back had a connecting time of about 45 min. And this was not the first time my luggage was lost at CPH. Do they have any handling problem there or what is going on at CPH?

You are not alone. From my last 4 flights (SK and connecting with OV/SK to TLL) on 3 occasions my luggage arrived to TLL a day later. Connection times at CPH ranged from 50 min to 3 hours. What's wrong - don't know

In general I don't think CPH has any baggage handling issues. I travel from CPH every week, and my checked luggage has always arrived with me.
Currently though, CPH is investing a lot in new passenger facilities, among them better baggage handling. This project will expand the number of belts, and I suppose the scope of the project has an effect on the overall baggage handling logistics at the airport, so maybe that is causing some issues currently.

This may have somthing to do with whos handling your arriving/departing flights, if both flights are handled by 1 airline/handling agent it usually goes smoothly if there is a mixture it can be a problem even if both airline are part of 1 alliance. I work in baggage service and I can tell you unfortunatley that the bulf of luggage that gets delayed is due to staff laziness or inconpitence, I have unfortunatley seen it first hand myself!
