What About Beyond Perimeter For LGA?

Hi there! I hope everyone is doing well.

I've read a lot of discussions on DCA's beyond-perimeter rights and slots. But what about those of LGA? Unless I've been missing out on some of the discussions, it's been quiet in terms of LGA.

Is it possible that LGA simply doesn't have any available right now? Is it possible that LGA just isn't high on the carriers' agendas?

I would have thought airlines like FL, AS or B6 would be big proponents of beyond-perimeter rights out of LGA.

How about your thoughts?

With flights being canceled and rescheduled due to congestion I am not sure there is room for any carriers. WestJet wanted to continue service but were severely restricted with slots. Since they couldn't compete with what they had they pulled out.

In Washington, DCA is the most convenient airport to the city, by quite a margin. It's favored by politicians, who are the ones needed to get perimeter exemptions.

In New York, LGA is only the most convenient airport for some travelers; it's not connected to the train/subway system, while both EWR and JFK are connected to Manhattan by rail. Thus, it's not a great inconvenience to fly into JFK/EWR vs. LGA, compared with the inconvenience of flying into BWI/IAD vs. DCA.
