Beginning June 9 Alitalia will be operating Miami-Rome (daily) route with 777-200 instead of a 767-300. Its the first time AZ is operating a 777 to Miami in the summer. Also, JFK-MXP (daily) will go down to 767-300 probably because it's now mainly p2p after AZ's de-hubbing at Malpensa. The previous 5xw second JFK-FCO flight (AZ 608-609) will also go daily.
Updated JFK-Italy Schedule:
AZ 609 FCO 15.50 daily 767-300
AZ 605 MXP 18.40 daily 767-300
AZ 611 FCO 21.20 daily 777-200

Interesting--thanks for the update. 15:50 is quite early for a transatlantic departure out of JFK, but we're seeing more and more of these late afternoon flights due to the recent schedule shake-up, which will hopefully help reduce congestion.

you arrive so early at your destination 5AM or so and it's not really a nighr flight. But I guess for onward conections it's usefull. Although for business men leaving later and getting a proper nights sleep is probably more effective.
