763- N647UA, N653UA are completed & in service. N641UA is getting the mod, possibly completed already.
744- N182UA is completed & in service.

No 777 has begun interior reconfiguration yet.

The 763's currently operate ORD-LHR, IAD-LHR, and IAD-FRA, as well a few domestic routes. The 744 operates IAD-FRA and occasionally IAD-SFO for heavy mx on the new seats.

Its still on ORD-IAD once in a while as well. UAL141 H/B744/J. Most any of the 744s from from IAD-SFO will have the 9000 number meaning either extra section or ferry but you know from previous run-ins

Correct, most the IAD-SFO's are 9XXX ferries. Today though, for example, N182UA was sub'ed in for a 777 on the 600am SFO-IAD.

The 763's don't head out to SFO quite as much anymore. When N647UA was brand new with the new cabin it seemed to go to SFO more often than it crossed the Atlantic, but now that most of the teething issues on the new seats have been solved (at least on the 763's) they don't go out to SFO too much anymore.

That having been said though, N647UA flew SFO-JFK the other day on a pretty interesting sub, for a 3-cabin PS 757.

idk for sure, but SFO-IAD in a 744 is almost always a extra section or ferry. Just like UAL9955 when they ferried the new cfg. plane to IAD.

When are the SYD planes being done? I'm going in November.

I think that's one of the most godawful flights they offer (sheer duration-wise)

Was this aircraft possibly damaged in the tornado at GSO a few nights ago? I've seen a couple reports of a UA aircraft there being damaged, but no further details as to which.

United did an excellent job in making the Business Class seat completely 180 degrees flat AND maintaining the First Seat to be enough better than the Business seat for customers to pay the extra dough or fork over the upgrades.

Ferry flight are rare these days for UAL. Most of the time now these new planes will be substituted from the normal routing aircraft. Many times when IADSFO aircraft been subbed into one of these new one. The same goes for the new B744's, only different is that the routing. Currently IADFRA is on the new OC configuration which can easily swap into FRASFO sector.

These aircrafts visit SFOMX twice a month for check up. Aircraft 6453 and 6447 will both be coming into SFO around next week for MX.

This ferry is different due to coming from GSO to IAD. UA will substitute aircraft instead of ferrying them. For a few days the new B744 did a IADORDIAD round trips substituting the usual B767.

LAXSFO to SYDMEL will be last on the list to get this type of aircraft.

Seeing pictures is not the same as being on one and actually seeing them. Have you sat on one?

I believe UA did a excellent job with the refitting. Although fewer premium seats and more economy UA was smart to catch up the the rest of the top tier airlines out there. I would see fewer upgrades as there will now be fewer seats. The new configuration are somewhat similar to SQ, CX, etc carriers out there now with more economy seating virus premiums.

I think you need to because your statement said it wasn't flat. You based your statement on seeing pictures.

I compared SQ and CX in regard to seating configuration on the new B747's. In term of service then YES, United is not anywhere close to SQ or CX.

No one has mentioned when the NRT flights will start seeing the new equipment? It's a pretty major hub. I would love to see the SFO or LAX flights get high on the list. Until that happens, I'm very tempted to start flying NH. My seat last week SFO-NRT was very uncomfortable.
