Typical journo rubbish to fill a couple of columns. I was by 05R from 0630 yesterday and got a great tan while getting some great shots of the Russian migration. A nice way to spend a days annual leave (and get paid for it!). Some people enjoy aircaft, some people see them as just a means of transport, some couldn't care less. We're all different which makes the world a better place to be (be boring if we were all the same wouldn't it). I'm sure the journo has an interest or hobby that we'd all say 'what's the point in that?'. If you get a bit of enjoyment from something, whatever it may be and as long as it's of no consequence to other, what their problem? The story was covered on BBC North West news as well.

Quoting Dazbo5 (Reply 1): Typical journo rubbish to fill a couple of columns.
Are you guys seriously taking this guy... well, seriously? I got a few chuckles out of it... or is your lip so stiff that your own brand of humor isn't even funny anymore? Take the last line:
Quote: This is just too strange for words. But then who am I to comment? I've spent my morning spotting plane spotters. How sad is that?
Although perhaps he truly doesn't understand our disdain for journalists:
Quote: Most seem to clam up when approached by a journalist, they clearly feel uncomfortable with an outsider in their midst.
