A unique interactive experience to promote our new products, released today.

Released by our CCD:
"Cathay Pacific has started to tell the world about its new cabin designs that are taking the passenger inflight experience to new heights. An integrated marketing campaign has been launched in Hong Kong and key international markets to highlight the benefits offered by the innovative designs which, uniquely, are being installed into all three classes of travel at the same time."

"There is also an innovative web-based element to the campaign, with an online virtual tour going into a level of detail never seen before and a flight simulator experience that leads the public into a competition to win simulator rides together with flight and hotel packages."

"The new cabin designs now feature on 23 Cathay Pacific aircraft flying on key routes to North America, Europe and Australia. The cabins are being retrofitted on Cathay Pacific's existing medium- and long-haul aircraft and will be fitted in all new additions to the fleet. By 2012 the cabins will feature on a total of 86 aircraft."

Hope you enjoy, and best of luck for the competition- to win a trip to HK on Business Class to try out one of our Flight Simulators.

I like the VR. It's just so cool to be able to walk around. And the way you see the guy/girls's arm swinging from time to time! Too bad there's only 1 seat you can sit down at. But still, I bet it's cost a fortune to make that VR.

F looks just as non-innovative as the QF product. Who knew that AA was ahead of it's time so many years ago, considering how USA carriers are always mocked for being 1 generation behind…

I thought the new campaign is great, finally they are showing the new products in a professional manner. Good for CX.

At least the colour scheme is much nicer than QF's.. stirthepot

Also, with the CX Y seats, one can use their laptop without having to be concerned the person in front will recline their seat into the laptop. With most 31' pitch seats, one can't use a laptop anyway.

I wanted to enter in that, but it won't let me choose USA as resident country.  Sad

The F colors are fine on QF. It's the other cabins that start to go south. And I prefer QF's rotating seat to CX's non-rotating, having used suite products of both type (though of course, not these particular designs).

The chances getting an new interior a/c I don't know. AFAIK B-HOV (B744) has the new interior because I was on it in February LHR-HKG (Y Class). HKG-LHR (Y Class) on an B-HXH (A343) and apart from the seats which is different. The entertainment system is totally different on both a/c.
IMO I prefer the seats on the A343 because when you recline, your seat doesn't slide forward like the new seats does. When you recline on the new seats, the pitch reduces.
I like the entertainment system on the B744 very much.
The entertainment systems on the two a/c cannot be compared.

WOW what a great website

You can even see the full trailers for the movies on the studio-cx section. Pretty good.

Even a flight simulator landing!

The cabin looks nice... and the website is great. I love the flight simulator video - it was made for us  Wink Going on CX in a little under a month, can't wait to try out the new cabin, although the new economy seats don't look that comfortable (from the site).

There are 10 744 with the new seats & seven 777-300ER fresh from Seattle with the new seats too.

I've flown the new cabin. From what QFs looks like this is lightyears better. The design is phenomenal. The seat has a built in armrest so you don't get the SQ too-wide feeling but when you are ready for bed-mode you have amazing amounts of space but retain total privacy. Storage is great and there's a space for just about everything. The built-in closet is an excellent use of space. Also, rather than have obvious 'seat contouring', they've used different foams that make for a very comfortable seat yet convert into the closest approximation of a real bed in the sky I've experienced. Yes, I'm sure the SQ A380 is better but that's a different aircraft and a different product.

It is absolutely an innovative product as far as design goes. Materials? Not so much. The seat is very comfortable and the fabric is fine. It's the ancillaries that're subpar. Perhaps that's changed now, I haven't flown the product since and the first time 'round was on that first 74A flying HKG-FRA. But the fake wood-grain used for the shelf and control panel area looks and feels cheap. The 'shelf' area that abuts the side wall is especially bad; never before have I been in an F seat and seen material flex that much! I can't imagine they haven't rectified that.
