Hey you guys.

what in your opinion is the most beautiful airport and therefor best airport in the world.

My list would look like this:
1. AMS Schiphol Airport. (The Plaza and terminals are beautiful)
2. Chicago O'hare (very impressive international terminal)
3. Dallas/Ft Worth (if you want it big go see DFW)

In my opinion, CDG2 is not only the most beautiful airport, but also one of the most beautiful buildings I've ever seen in my life. Contemporary french architecture is amazing, isn't it?

I don't know if it would pass the "beauty" criterion set down by the original contributor, but I feel, and have felt throughout my whole life, that there is simply NO airport like Heathrow - it gives a buzz like no other - there is nowhere else on earth that can so rightfully claim to be the crossroads of the planet.

Kansas City International is certainly the most convenient and one of my favs since it's my hometown airport. But my favorites overall are probably Orlando International (awesome terminal designs and architecture), LAX (I just like Los Angeles period, the airport is no exception and the theme building and control tower look AWESOME!!!), I've never flown into it, but I've driven by it....Colorado Springs is beautiful. especially since it's centered right in the middle of the rockies. This one may surprise you, but Oklahoma City Will Rogers airport is kinda neat on the inside, they've got an observation deck with a telescope for plane spotting located right above one of American's gates and some really cool windows that run from the floor to the ceiling that make spotting planes easier. I took my first plane photos there when we were visiting someone there a couple years back and flew into there this passed summer.  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

Most beautiful? Denver intl...every single concourse is beautiful and the architecture of the jeppesen terminal is simply amazing. Its the first airport where I had to stop and look arround as I went in because of being amazed that this place was an airport. I also think atlanta's interior for the international concourse is beautiful (the rest is beautiful just for its sheer functionality) and finally chicago o'hare ...its interiors almost rival denvers=)

Right on, AeroGlobeAir7. MCI may be old, but it is definitely the most convenient airport I've even been to. DEN is really nice since it is new, but very inconvenient. How is the Harlingen, TX airport? It looks pretty cool from its website.

Well I cant really judge the whole lot as I havent been to very many. But here is my list-

1. Copenhagen CPH - contemporary scandinavian styling, voted best airport by world travellers in 2000.

2. Amsterdam AMS - was a long time ago that I was their but as far as I can remember it was very nice inside.

3. Karup KRP - Small danish domestic airport that has recently undergone modification and looks stunning.

4. Tokyo Narita NRT - A little plain inside Terminal 2, but still a favourite of mine for the Japanese feel of the place

Well there you go  Big grin
