Hi,

just a quick question and probably me just not looking properlly. I was driving up the M8 motorway today along the approach to EDI when I was passed overhead by a small (Saab 340 sized) aircraft on approach to 06 which did not appear to have it's landing gear down. I didn't get a registration but the aircraft was dark coloured and not one of the 'regular' commercial operators at Edinburgh IMO.

I went through and underpass and when I caught site of it again it went around. I know go arounds happen all the time but could this be because there was no landing gear???? Was around about 17.30.

Seemed strange to me so I thought I would post and see if anyone has any info!

Sounds like ILS calibration work. Wasn't this by any chance?

Just what it sounds like I believe...calibrating the airports Instrument Landing System, and making sure it is accurate.
