- MAZ Aviation for 6 (!!) A350XWB (1 x -800, 5x -900)
- JetAlliance for 2 A318, 1 ACJ

Quote:
Aircraft maker Airbus said Tuesday that it has signed deals worth a total of $1.69 billion with two customers for its corporate jet liners.

MAZ Aviation, a leading Middle East aircraft broker, has placed a commitment for six Airbus A350 XWB Prestiges in what an Airbus official described as its biggest single order for corporate aircraft.

The six A350s will be powered by engines made by Rolls Royce PLC (RR.LN).

Airbus also announced that the Vienna-based Jetalliance Group has placed a repeat order for one Airbus Corporate Jetliner, or ACJ, and two A318 Elites, worth a total of $185 million.

Whatever "commitment" means at this point, I guess it is a LoI at the moment. Still, WHAT an order...

"Commitment" does suggest it's just an LOI or MOU at this point, but nonetheless, 6 VIP A350s is a nice surprise.

What isn't a surprise though, is that MAZ is based in the Middle East!  smile

This JetAlliance is becoming more and more a success story. I believe I read that sometime ago already that they wanted to order some more aircrafts. Good for Airbus and for JetAlliance.  Smile

Seems very early to be ordering VIP A350s, but I guess the line for aircraft is getting long.

Airbus already had two VIP A350 on firm order (both -900s!)

Yes, it's a long wait - even longer when you consider the fitout for a large VIP plane can take up to 18 months!
