I'm travelling with CO between ARN-EWR in the end of August and I was just wondering how big the chance is that I will get a plane with the new AVOD system. Does anyone know?

I came into the forum expecting to ask the same question.
I am flying LGW-EWR on a 757 and am really hoping I get AVOD. Also, all the 757s have winglets, right?

All 41 of CO's 757-200s have winglets and BusinessFirst cabins, approximately 20 of the 41 now have AVOD throughout.

Does anyone know the estimated completion date for the installation of AVOD in Y throughout the CO 752 fleet? Last I heard was "summer 2008" I believe, which is rapidly approaching...

As per CO Insider @ Flyertalk May 6th:

Quoting CAL (Reply 8): Yes...Thank you.. but im trying to figure out what were the 19 and 20th ships... thanks anyway
19-Ship 137. Completed 17 May.
20-Ship 103. Still in conversion. Due out 24 May.
Quoting STT757 (Reply 4): AVOD installation in all 41 of CO's 757-200s will be complete in October.
The MOD has no been revised for December completion now. MCO will stop doing AVOD MODs in September and the rest will be done by IAH during C check. I guess the company has something more pressing for MCO to do.
Ah ha. We had that on HA on the way to and from Hawaii. That's pretty cool. Someone was thinkin.
Now, if they can find a flight attendant that can operate the in-flight video system without getting more than three other people involved, that'll be the icing on the cake.

Those are only rented digi players though. They aren't built into the seatbacks like AVOD is. Those players become annoying especially once meals arrive, and something has to go on my lap
