Saskatoon will get Denver flight
Murray Lyons, Saskatchewan News Network
Published: Wednesday, May 21, 2008
SASKATOON -- Saskatoon is getting its long-awaited flight to a major Western U.S. airport hub when United Express takes off for Denver on the Tuesday after Labour Day.

The 7:05 morning flight will employ Bombardier CRJ-200s, a 50-seat regional airliner (familiar to those who fly Air Canada Jazz) to destinations such as Calgary or Winnipeg. A return flight to Saskatoon will depart Denver at 1:07 p.m. and arrives in Saskatoon at 3:30 p.m.

The Saskatoon Airport Authority has called a news conference Thursday afternoon to celebrate the news which local officials on the air services committee have pursued for years.

Does Saskatoon have pre-clearance?

Is it bad that I get excited to see even a CRJ overfly? Man, what this place does to you

Long turn in YXE.

Article is incorrect: 2x daily

YXE: Depatures 8:05am and 2:04pm
DEN: Depatures 10:02am and 6:45pm.

These figures do not seem logical??? Are they running 2 CRJ's? A single aircraft would not be feasible with the 0805 and 1002 departures on the route...

There's no reason the same aircraft has to operate all flights. The morning flight from YXE probably goes somewhere else from DEN and the morning flight from DEN no doubt arrives from somewhere else.

With over 35+ CRJ-200 aircraft operating in the DEN network at any given time, you can surely bet that there's more than 1 aircraft operating these flights.

Two all beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions on a sesame seed bun.

The flight times are very logical, the times are very good.
