What:
Virgin America proudly announces SuperFly Wednesdays—where mixing, mingling, and networking happen in style.
Make connections over complimentary cocktails * and seat-to-seat chat. If you like, you can even jump in a conversation on our in-flight chat rooms. This is our happy hour in the sky to get you through the rest of the week.
Why:
Because we're Virgin America and we love to stir things up.
This totallty describes me.
OK, someone in the marketing department at Virgin America has been inspired by me.
Virgin America now owes me.

Whatever. Networking in chat-rooms? For business reasons or to hook up? Not sure…

It isn't just an on-plane thing. Virgin America is teaming with three bar/clubs - Tao in Las Vegas, Tropicana in L.A., and XYZ in San Francisco - for complimentary drinks on Wednesdays with a Virgin America boarding pass.

See service, innovative ideas to draw people to your airline. Time for me to book a trip to SFO, wed -fri!
Always wonderers if this "last and final boarding call" is in fact THE last and final boarding call.

XYZ here in San Francisco is a very classy upscale lounge. Not my kind of place but still nice to have a drink there occasionally. Me, UAL747, Windowseat and JeffSFO got drunk there a few years ago.

I was wondering how long it would take Superfly to notice this!
Just wish VX was offering this on more flights---the advert on the website only had four listed. I've done three round-trips on VX san-sfo and one trip to jfk, and they've all been great.

Superfly,
Aren't you supposed to be working? You can't look at a.net on the job!
Quoting Superfly (Reply 12): Now I am a NIMBY making money and want the government off my back.
You are progressing nicely....
Quoting Superfly (Reply 9): It's about 10 minutes away from Bondage-A-Go-Go which is pretty happening on Wednesday nights
I know a Dungeon Master there. Lot's of whips, chains, leather, nudity, etc..
This isn't the crowd that Richard Branson was targeting with his promotion but it is close to XYZ.
Anyone up for a meet at XYZ next Wednesday here in San Francisco?

This is a very clever and very cheap marketing champaign. They most likely have a pre-paid arraignment with these cocktail lounges. Event planners always have promos that offer complementary drinks. It's not a money loser for Virgin America at all. It probably cost them very little.
It's certainly better than any ad champaign I've seen for AirTran, JetBlue, Delta or Continental.
