Flybe are altering some of their Dash 8 aircraft as explained below

G-ECOB will be taken out of BE service and sold to Wideroe
G-ECOC will be taken out of BE service and sold to Wideroe
G-ECOV will be delivered to BE ex LN-RDM
G-ECOW will be delivered to BE ex LN-RDF
G-ECOY will be delivered to BE ex LN-RDG
G-ECOZ will be delivered to BE ex LN-RDR

Yeah I read this on Jethros, but was puzzled by it. Do you have any idea why they are switching aircrafts round like this? Especially since ECOB was only delivered in Jan and ECOC due this week.

As i understand it, SAS which owns WF, will now only fly NEW Q400's due to the problems with the local scandinavian's who refuse to fly them.

BE on the other hand get 4 aircraft forthe price of 2....

Everyone is happy...right...?

All four are coming from SAS (they are not ex. Widerøe machines - the WF Q400 didn't have any of these problems, except for the single Q400 they took over used from SAS) and their MSNs are 4021, 4022, 4033 and 4034. The three Q400s with faulty landings were MSN 4024, 4025 and 4035. I think all four would have the new modified main gear with lots of new parts that will first have corrosion problems in six to seven years  Wink
