Go to the photo database here at Liners, check AC, AA, US, they all have retro-jets flying around.

N838AW was a HP A/C in it's original paint and it flew a few weeks with the regular America West titles when it was first delivered. It was then painted over and the US Airways logo added to the upper fuselage.

I think I'm the only one on the web that has pictures of it with the AW titles. Search over at Jetphotos for N838AW.

Just thought you'd like to know!!

Would Love to see CO in a retro scheme, perhaps a new 737 900 golden jet. Or a CO-Texas International combo, without the memory of Frank Lorenzo.

25 Post contains links and images SXDFC : AA 738 is looking good- but anyone know when she will get re-polished? For those interested I did that scheme on the 772: AB6: MD-82:
26 B747forever : It looks lovely on the MD-82. Not so good looking on the 772.
27 Nycbjr : does anyone else feel some of these are just awesome and today's liveries just don't a hold a candle to yesterdays classics!
28 Manfredj : That brings up a good point....why didn't they put it on the 737's...would have been awesome.
29 DTW757 : Not to turn this political but it was the retro AA 737 which delivered president-elect Bush to Washington DC in January 2001 for his inauguration.
30 SkyGirl : Because that would have made sense? Wasn't Piedmont one of the launch customers of the 737-400? I could be horribly wrong on this, but if that's the

33 NWADC9 : The reason is the network. In terms of cities served, how many see A319's compared to 737's? The A319 travels the entire US/HP network in the States,
34 SXDFC : If you noticed that most of the liveries back then normally reflected that countries country and culture. Something that lacks in many carriers today
35 KPHXFlyer : Wholeheartedly agree with that assessment...
36 Post contains images N867DA : A lot of the retro liveries look much better than their replacements. Martinair's retro livery are much better than their current scheme.
37 SkyGirl : What can I say? I love Piedmont. Real Piedmont, at least.
38 Aircellist : Could we convince BA to put a retro Landor livery on some of their planes? Say... 95% ?
39 NWADC9 : JUST 95%? If Northwest painted a 747-400 back in bowling shoe, and left it that way, I'd be a happy man. I'd be peeing my pants if they ditched the n
