Does anyone know the main runway approach used most often into LCY i.e. landing from the east or from the west over the city?

I'm interested to take a flight to experience a STOLport landing and to do so coming in west over the city would give some amazing views.

Well I'm not a pilot, but I can only remember once where we had an approach from the west. Which means coming from Carnary Wharf. So normally approach from the east, takeoff to the west.

As you may presently yourself be fully made aware of, my grammar sucks.

Prevailing winds in the UK tend to mean that the easterly runway (28) is in use for about 80% of the year.

I flew into LCY on Wednesday, however, and it was westerly ops - we practically took an aerial tour of London before landing; it was fantastic!
