I am wondering if anyone knows if the font used on the PanAm logo exists as a font that can be downloaded and used in Word etc. (especially for the Mac). I have been looking around for several hours, but with no luck.
In fact, it would be great if you could pass on information about what fonts other airlines use, as well. (e.g Virgin Atlantic!)
Thanks for any help,
V/F
P.S. Yes, I know this is on the boundary of Aviation/Non-aviation, however, a search revealled this type of question had been asked in this forum before, and not in the Non-Av, so I guess this is where those sort of things will come up.

China Eastern Airlines seems to be standard Arial font. Yuck!

Pan Am's font is definitely one-of-a-kind, a stroke of genius. I love it. A couple of Latin American carriers have adopted it in some form-e.g. Avensa. Although somewhat common, I happen to like the bold Helvetica used by LH, SR, and formerly by PR. There's a certain honesty, efficiency, and friendliness about it, not to mention legibility. If you find a site with the PA font, please post it.

Northwest Airlines uses Times New Roman (How Original!)
As for the PA font, I think you should be able to right-click on the logo and go to properties and the font should be there. Of course, the "font" could actually NOT be a font and just be their logo.

It's probably a proprietary font designed solely for the logo. The most similar font I can think of is copperplate.
