I noticed in next month's (June's) OAG that some of the north-south flights...and the flight OAK-AUS...are using 737-500 equipment. Is WN really bringing the 735's out west again?

I was noticing that when I was checking flight loads and saw the 735 is flying OAK-AUS-FLL, I was like NUTS!

Actually the -500's have been flying at the west coast quite frequrntly OAK, LAX, SAN sees their fair share of them.

It's more like "still" than "again." We have 25 in the fleet, and while some stay mainly in Texas and/or the central time zone, we still have some that can show up just about anywhere in the system.

They use the 735 daily on PHX-SMF-PHX.

They've been showing up in PHL quite a bit lately as well. I think they've mostly been doing PHL-PIT runs, but I'm sure they've been on others to rotate them back down to TX. Anyone know what other cities they go to from PHL?

Jeff

I was out on the ramp on Friday afternoon and saw two -500s depart back to back.

I was really surprised when I found out I was on a -500 flying SEA-DEN-AUS 2 weeks ago. Seem to be using them daily on that route as well.

I thought they were only on short-hauls around the south these days...

The last time I was at OAK, I didn't see any 735's there. Even the late afternoon departures, which typically have the most 735's present, were either 733's or 73G's.

So, I'm glad that WN is flying more 735's out west than before anyway.

Was tracking flights last week and they were using the 735's on BWI-DEN-OAK and I thought that the BWI-DEN leg is a lot longer than they normally fly.

During the last schedule, we saw one or two daily. They were usually PIT-PHL flights.

Which flights between DEN-SEA roundtrip utilize the 735?

According to flightstats.com, currently only flight # 3338 from SEA-DEN is scheduled as a 735, no flights between DEN-SEA. All other flights are scheduled as 733 or 73G. Of course UA also flys 735's on the route.

Thanks. I want to be able to fly on a 735 this upcoming holiday season (thanksgiving or christmas). So hopefully the schedule wont really change.

Yeah, recent schedules have seen multiple daily -500s at SAN. The previous schedule had two daily -500s scheduled at SAN at the same time. Thought that was kinda neat.
