What's interesting is that it says "Fr disp and part-out on acquisition of replacement aircraft", therefore suggesting that there is no set date for them to leave the fleet - unlike NB and NE - and doesn't hint at what will replace it (I guess it'll be A321s).
I've had a quick look across the 'Net and can't find anything else on it, so does anyone have any more info regarding this development, or is it a load of hot air?

Hope not. The MON 757s are irreplaceable for some missions. the 321 cannot do everything a 757 can, like operate Monarchs scheduled into and out of GIB with a full load, nor is the 321 a good replacement for routes like Sharm El Sheikh from likes of Manchester with full load of pax and baggage. other destinations like summer charters to small Greek airfields and charters to Banjul are all perfect fit for the heavier 757.
Pity for Monarch there is no real 757 replacement aircraft available from any manufacturer.

Perhaps but neither are ideal 757 replacements. hope they keep a couple for the niche runs not really the best fit for the lighter 321. perhaps get some newer examples.
