This co-incides nicely with 9V-SKE projected delviery date (sometime in June)

Haven't they already been flying 2 A380's on this route? I thought that 1 was doing SIN-SYD, another SIN-NRT and 2 have been doing LHR-SIN.

2 have been flying SIN-LHR but that only makes a daily service.

So will this route have 4 A380's flying starting July 16th? If so, I guess Airbus has to hurry to deliver the next 2 airplanes.

Most likely but that doesn't translate into SQ getting 2 additional A380's. You have to consider total fleet utilization across the entire A380 network.

They only need three airplanes to fly these two daily flights:

SIN-LHR 1245-1910
LHR-SIN 2205-1755*
SIN-LHR 2330*-0555**
LHR-SIN 1155**-0745***

So, the airplane that starts this rotation on Monday will be ready for another rotation on Thursday.

This isn't a daily flight. It only operates on 1/3/5/7.

So it almost seems like writing on the wall that the next-delivered A380 to SQ beyond the one set to be used for additional LHR service would also be deployed to LHR to make this route a daily (for a total of two A380 operated dailies to LHR, using four a/c). Do you all agree that this is likely?

If so, as SQ1 / 2 (SIN-HKG-SFO) was supposed to be the route upgraded to A380 ops in SQ's original plan when it had six of the birds, will this route be upgraded when there are eight A380s in the inventory instead? Since it is operated now with 747s, and since SQ is set to phase out the 747, they would have either upsize or downsize SQ1 / 2 sooner or later.

EmiratesUK and everyone else on a.net who posts on anything to do with the SIA A380, I strongly advise you to ALWAYS use the following phrase either to begin or end your post:

Singapore Airlines Limited - A Member of Star Alliance - will (insert verb here) the A380 on (insert route name here). This will enable all passengers to experience the ROMANCE OF TRAVEL combined with TRAVEL IN A NEW LIGHT. Singapore Airlines is the world's largest operator of the A380.
