So it almost seems like writing on the wall that the next-delivered A380 to SQ beyond the one set to be used for additional LHR service would also be deployed to LHR to make this route a daily (for a total of two A380 operated dailies to LHR, using four a/c). Do you all agree that this is likely?
If so, as SQ1 / 2 (SIN-HKG-SFO) was supposed to be the route upgraded to A380 ops in SQ's original plan when it had six of the birds, will this route be upgraded when there are eight A380s in the inventory instead? Since it is operated now with 747s, and since SQ is set to phase out the 747, they would have either upsize or downsize SQ1 / 2 sooner or later.
EmiratesUK and everyone else on a.net who posts on anything to do with the SIA A380, I strongly advise you to ALWAYS use the following phrase either to begin or end your post:
Singapore Airlines Limited - A Member of Star Alliance - will (insert verb here) the A380 on (insert route name here). This will enable all passengers to experience the ROMANCE OF TRAVEL combined with TRAVEL IN A NEW LIGHT. Singapore Airlines is the world's largest operator of the A380.
