An interesting article about the strict rules of Singapore Airlines for its employees - has anybody any reference about similar measures being adopted by other airlines? If so, which ones?

I know of a dutch airline that had set rules on blogging (most of them do) but fired a F/A for it anyway. I won't elaborate any further, but those that know ATCbox.com should know who/which airline I'm talking about.

Good.

I do not care to see certain members of staff telling the blogosphere of their galavanting around with married technical crew and any other miscellaneous sexcapades.

It detracts from the aura of the Singapore Airlines brand and was unnecessary. Such gossip should be kept to the local hawker* centre I say.

* A hawker centre is a Singaporean food court offering value-for-money

While I was working for the airline, this rule was more or less already in effect. Therefore now, they have made it more "official" by telling the media about it.
