Now that Monastir MIR/DTMB is directed and exploited by the Turkish TAV, a dedicated website has been developped... and it's nice ! The colours and the layout are attractive, but still a minor revision should be done, and then it's perfect  Smile

A better site than the www.oaca.nat.tn which is a national disgrace....
I could do a better website myself....

I hope they will come up with new websites for all other airports...
All Tunisian airport and airline websites need major improvements.

If you try to book a ticket to Tunisia on Tunisair you will always get the highest Economy fare.
There was a major promotion for theit 60th birthday. A FRA-TUN-FRA would only cost EUR129. I tried to book that fare 2 days in a row but without success. Their credit card page had major faults...

TS-IOR, where have you disappeared?!

I'm always on the move, in Tunisia and sometimes abroad. The Tunisian aviation scene is stuck and no major news so i found difficulties writing interesting topics !

Having just flown back last month from a 2 week holiday in Tunisia using Monastir Airport I found the site quite interesting & I have a couple of questions. 1) What language is the flight planner in? It seems to me to be in Turkish! 2) I was trying to arrange a internal flight from Monastir to Tunis & back while I was on holiday but all the Tunisian guide books said that you couldn't fly internally from Monastir. But if you look at flight information it has a Domestic arrivals & departures section with plenty of internal flights on it!  Angry

There are no domestic flights from or to Monastir... These might be positioning flights or flights from/to Europe to other Tunisian destinations through MIR like SXF-MIR-DJE or TUN-MIR-MLA. The domestic sectors are not sold.
There used to be Monastir-Tabarka flights but they have been axed.

A good tip for everyone wanting to use a cheap domestic flight in Tunisia. Sevenair is operating a Tunis-Tabarka-Tunis route for only TND50 (EUR32). Whenever I go back to Tunisia in Summer, I go to Tabarka using the bus and then go back to Tunis using Sevenair for a mere EUR16. They are now using the BE1.

I have taken part of that Tunisair new logo competiton. I hope I will win. I can not post it now, but I will as soon as results come out...
