QF SYD-BOM

now that QF is flying non-stop on the SYD-BOM-SYD route with the A332 with the new Skybeds---i have heard that passengers have been very happy with the service.

Especially after having to avoid the darwin layovers on the westbound journey.

any info on pax loads, cargo loads, crew opinions of the flight, and the like regarding the new non-stop (well...no really new....b/c it used to be non-stop on the 743).

just curious, as i know there is quite a bit of traffic on this flight. i have also heard that there is quite a bit of full J traffic.

Qantas is doing well in BOM with their non stops. On 3 occasions I was informed flights going on approx say 70-80% loads.

More than their non stops, their code share with Jet airways is more popular. The QF flight is particularly only for the O & D market. Jet Airways takes a lot of the Australian traffic on its flights via SIN.

I'd say slim. Any more European expansion will be done with Jetstar for the time being.

The SkyBeds on the A332 that fly to BOM are the same as those on the 333's and the 744's and 744ER's (also this same type of A332 flies AKL-LAX etc...)

Glad to hear the flight is doing well. Has anyone on here actually taken the flight?

Any QF crews on this board, want to comment on their flight working this service?

Thats probably why he said atleast 30, but yes there are close to 30 763s to replace first.

Yes but according to wiki (so not very reliable) they will have around 20 extra after the 767's are replaced. Leaving routes like SYD-BOM-LHR or BNE-SFO etc as routes that could become reality

Why not fly BA LHR-BOM and then QF BOM-SYD?



I do quite enjoy a spot of flying - more so when it's not in Economy!

Yes - but that after the first 45 are delviered (JQ and QF) we are probably looking past 2013-2014. I would also think that perhaps by then those 787's may be replacing A330's
